New Poster and a Nifty New Pic from Choi Dong-hoon’s The Thieves

The film that many are calling the “Asian Ocean’s 11″ has an insanely impressive cast, and now you can take a good, hard look at them by directing your attention to the image included below. “The Thieves” features quite a few popular South Korean and Chinese actors, including Kim Yoon-seok, Angelica Lee, and Simon Yam. I can’t wait to see a trailer, which, in theory, should be on it’s way any time now.

Once again, the film’s synopsis:

In order to let things cool down from their latest heist, Popeye and his group of thieves go to Macao on a job. But the mastermind behind this job is none other than Popeye’s old partner Macao Park, who escaped with 68kg of gold several years ago on their last job together.

Macao Park brought Chinese thieves as well but little did they know what Macao Park planned for each one of them. But his plan takes an unexpected turn when Popeye brings Pepsi, an old flame of Macao Park, to settle the old score. The thieves’ target is a $20 million diamond known as ‘Tear of the Sun’, kept safely away in a casino, brought there to be sold by a notorious Chinese fence. While working together to steal this fabled diamond, they all have their own agenda to keep the diamond for themselves. But who will succeed and live to see another day?

“The Thieves”, which also stars Kim Hae-sook, Kim Hye-soo, Lee Jeong-jae, Jeon Ji-hyeon, Kim Soo-hyeon-I, Oh Dal-soo, and Derek Tsang. Look for the film to arrive in South Korea this summer. The image we talked about earlier is just below.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided.
