It promises to be the “funniest movie you’ll ever read”. But then again, Americans hate reading subtitles, right? That’s what I keep hearin’.
The English-subtitled (because everyone in the film speaks Spanish, apparently, except when they’re not speaking Spanish) “Casa de mi Padre” stars Ferrell as Armando Alvarez, who, along with his brothers, are attempting to save their father’s ranch but ends up in a war with Mexico’s most feared drug lord instead. Don’t worry, it’s apparently a comedy. See a pair of trailers below to “get” the film’s vibe.
