Yikes. Marvel and Joss Whedon’s “Agents of SHIELD” is almost upon us, kids. If this show doesn’t do gangbuster ratings when it premieres tomorrow on Tuesday, then I think it’s safe to say that social media marketing is a huge waste of time. Because according to everything I’ve read, a bazillion people are following/tweeting/Facebooking this show online.
God knows the show’s publicity machine has certainly been doing their share of spreading the word. They’re pretty darn good at it, too. But will it matter in terms of ratings? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Very, very soon, in fact.
Until then, here are new posters (spelling out SHIELD, in case you couldn’t tell) and a new extended TV spot for the show recently premiered during Monday Night Football. Which is odd. I love football and I love me some good comic book stuff like “Agents of SHIELD”, but the vast, VAST majority of people I know who love football have never even touch a comic book in their life. Hell, they don’t even know where to get a comic book.
I guess we’ll see.
In “Agents of SHIELD”, Agent Phil Coulson is ordered to track an unknown enemy, and does so by assembling a select group of agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as SHIELD.
Starring Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Chloe Bennet.
