Yeah, I know, I should have added these new posters to the “Stand Up Guys” poster post earlier, but you know, I didn’t, so here’s a new post featuring four new posters. Deal with it!
Up first, another poster for Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit Part 1 – An Unexpected Journey”, featuring Martin Freeman’s Bilbo Baggins with something very shiny (and sharp) in his hands. He looks like he means business. Well, as much as a hobbit can look like he means business, anyway. Watch the recently released full trailer for “The Hobbit” in case you missed it. It’s hobbit-rific.
Meanwhile, those CG guys from “Rise of the Guardians” gets their own new poster. Another “big idea” movie, like “Wreck-it Ralph”, one of those million dollar ideas that got someone paid big time. Still not sold on the movie itself, but I’m sure the kids will love it.
A new poster for the Coens-scripted con comedy “Gambit”, a remake of a movie I’m sure most of you have never seen. It stars Cameron Diaz (affecting an atrocious “Texas” accent, natch) and the consummate Brit, Colin Firth. Plus, Hans Gruber plays the goofy bad guy. Watch the trailer, complete with Diaz’s stab at an accent.
And finally, a nice, minimalist IMAX poster for Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie”.
