The guys over at Coming Soon have landed some really good scoops yesterday — namely three teaser posters for three upcoming movies. The first is for the Gerard Butler sci-fi/actioner “Game”, which should go into production pretty soon, and will have Butler co-starring alongside Kyra Sedgwick from “The Closer” and that creepy guy from that show about the serial killer who kills serial killers, “Dexter”. The second is for the proposed “Conan” remake; I say proposed because the movie is obviously still in the, “Let’s put it out there and see who gives us money to make this thing” stage. The third is for the big-screen adaptation of the popular “Tekken” game, called, of course, “Tekken”.
From Coming Soon:
Written/directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the film takes place in the near future, when mind-control technology has taken society by storm. In this dystopian world, the ultimate online simulation environment is humans remote-controlling other humans in mass-scale, multiplayer online gaming.
Butler plays Kable, the No. 1-ranked warrior in the highest-rated game, called “Slayers.” With his every move tracked by millions, Kable’s ultimate challenge is to regain his identity and bring down the system that has imprisoned him.
Based on Robert E. Howard’s mythical conqueror Conan the Barbarian. The company said earlier this year that the new version will be more faithful to Howard’s original creation than were the Arnold Schwarzenegger films.
The story centers on two childhood friends who enter a worldwide martial arts tournament. As they progress, the pals move toward uncovering a secret that lies within the mysterious Tekken Corp. Charles Stone will direct.
