Parkour in Ancient Persia? Why not. Check out two new clips from “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, one featuring Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Prince Dastan as he flees some soldiers using the rooftops of Ancient Persia as his personal obstacle course and the other has him getting too intimate with a sand trap. Gyllenhaal sure looks to be in good shape for the movie. Then again, if someone paid me millions to work out, I’d do it, too. Just sayin’. Anyways, check out the clips below, plus some new images.

Set in medieval Persia, the story of an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. Which is why after the prince was tricked by a dying Vizier to unleash the Sands of Time that turns out to destroy a kingdom and transforms its populace into ferocious demons. In his effort to save his own kingdom and redeem his fatal mistake, it’s up to the prince and the princess to return the sands to the hourglass by using the Dagger of Time, which also gives him a limited control over the flow of time.

Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Toby Kebbell, Alfred Molina, Reece Ritchie, Richard Coyle, Gísli Örn Garðarsson, Steve Toussaint, and directed by Mike Newell.

As a fan of the games I have to say, it looks good so far. The music fits very well too. I like that they didn't try to gritty it up like the second game even though the armor and character design is from that game.
