New Regency & Josephson Entertainment Pick-Up The Sisters Grimm

By Robert | June 19, 2007 (12:01 am)

sisters-grimm.jpgFrom a logical standpoint it makes sense. In all likelihood, The Brothers Grimm had some womanly descendants tacked up to their family trees. They wouldn’t be around if they didn’t, right? Variety is the first to break news that the family-friendly production house New Regency Productions and Josephson Entertainment (the folks responsible for that dreaded Like Mike) have purchased the film rights to Michael Buckley’s children’s horror/fantasy/sci-fi tales “The Sisters Grimm“.

Barry Josephson is seeing over production on the first entry of a planned franchise that will feature the adventures — scratch that, misadventures for a better word — of sisters Daphne and Sabrina Grimm as they move from one strange terrain to another in search of their missing parents. Could it be that they cross paths with Heath Ledger and Matt Damon? Harry Potter and his girl Hermoine, too? Probably not, but theres always the siblings from Chronicles of Narina, right?
