According to this new featurette, in order to replicate Red Square in Moscow, the filmmakers of “Resident Evil: Retribution” had to manually scan the entire area by hand, put it into a computer, and created a CG version of the place. That’s, uh, pretty damn cool. Seriously, the stuff they’re coming up with just for movies — for 90 minutes of entertainment, essentially — is ridiculous. Just to think, twenty years ago filmmakers still had to paint backgrounds by hand. Wow. Mind you, I’m not saying one is better than the other, but my oh my, time sure has a’changed…
The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead.
