A trio of comic book news (“Riddick” is considered comic book-y, right?) for you before I close up shop for the weekend.
First up, here’s a new look at “Riddick” courtesy of Vin Diesel:
The sequel to “Pitch Black” and “The Chronicles of Riddick” is due out this September, so here’s hoping for a trailer by Summer.
Meanwhile, the comic book movie world is all afluttered over this news that “X-Men: First Class” director Matthew Vaughn has officially boarded Fox’s “Fantastic Four” reboot … as a producer. Josh Trank (“Chronicle”) is still attached to direct.
Mark Millar, comic book writer and Fox’s “consultant” extraordinaire, made the announcement:
Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news – Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot!

Does it really matter if Vaughn “produces” the movie? Who knows. It’ll probably help the PR flacks sell the movie as being “from the director of ‘X-Men: First Class’”, I’m sure.
Meanwhile, CBM has landed what they say are leaked concept artwork for Marvel’s upcoming “Iron Man 3″, featuring Iron Man’s space suit and what they say is the Hulkbuster armor. So the Hulkbuster is a … turtle?
