Lots of anticipation (and apprehension in the aftermath of the Frank Darabont firing) about AMC’s upcoming second season of “The Walking Dead”, which, hard to believe, is just one month away. Remember when the final episode of the first season ended and everyone was going, “How are we going to survive until Season 2 almost a year later???” Well it’s almost here, kids, and see? You survived just fine. All that worrying for nothing, sheesh.
Anyways, take a gander at a new poster for the second season featuring Rick Grimes, six-shooter drawn, racing towards a certain farmhouse in the distance. I don’t recall Hershel’s farm being that close to a road in the comics, but it certainly makes a for one great, ominous poster.
Robert Kirkman, creator of the comic book and a producer on the show, makes some big promises:
This world will get more dangerous. In the first season, there was a lot of time spent at that camp when they were fine. Now we’ve taken that away from them. … We’re really going to just expand the world a little bit. We’re hitting the road, they’re moving, and it’s going to be a lot of cool stuff.
Also, a new teaser trailer featuring Andrew Lincoln as the Grimester:
The second season of “The Walking Dead” shambles back onto the airwaves Sunday, October 16 at 9/8c on AMC.
