New Total Recall Trailer Brings The Action, Plot, and Three-Breasted Pros

Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale in Total Recall (2012) Movie Image

Though you don’t actually see, er, all the prostitute’s ample assets, but then again this is just a trailer and you might see it (all three of them) in the movie itself. If, you know, that’s important to you or something. Anyways, Sony has released a new trailer for Len Wiseman’s “Total Recall”, and it’s filled with some pretty nifty moments. The “I give good wife” comeback by Kate Beckinsale’s character is gold, though the rest of the film looks painfully familiar. Also, take note of Beckinsale’s accent. She’s American when she’s the good wife, and suddenly English when her character reveals her evil she-bitch colors. Apparently it was all Beckinsale’s idea, to hear her tell it. I find that just totally awesome on her part. In any case, if you’re looking for slick entertainment, I reckon Wiseman will have what you’re looking for. Whether it goes beyond that, well, we shall see.

Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he’s got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

Starring Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Bill Nighy, Jessica Biel, Ethan Hawke, John Cho, Bokeem Woodbine, and Will Yun Lee.

Recalling in theaters August 3, 2012.
