New Trailer for Jackie Chan’s Chinese Zodiac Will Punch a Hole in Your Face

Let’s cut to the chase: I’m a Jackie Chan fan, and the news that he’s retiring from action kind of makes me sad. I know he can’t keep putting his body through the paces forever, but it’s still rather depressing that we won’t have anymore Jackie Chan actioners to look forward to. Insert a hefty audible sigh here. However, the legendary stuntman’s final endeavor “Chinese Zodiac” looks incredible. If this is his final adventure, at least he’s going out with guns blazing.

Here’s a very short synopsis to help set the stage:

A man searches the world for a set of mystic artifacts – 12 bronze heads of the animals from the Chinese zodiac.

There you go — short and sweet and to the point. “Chinese Zodiac”, which is written and directed by Chan, will arrive in theaters on December 12th, 2012. Hopefully we’ll get a day-and-date release here in the States. When you’ve prepared your brain for the ensuing awesomeness, all you have to do is press play.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)

by the way Jackie Chan has denied he is quitting action movies in general..on his Facebook page…He says he was shocked and surprised to see all the news reports..and what he actually meant was…Chinese Zodiac is his last movie with risky stunts he is known for…he is quitting doing risky death defying stunts..and continue doing action without the there will be less stunts but action will be there.. He also said he will keep improving his English :) …so rejoice guys..

Why didn’t the just make those statue heads talismons, and add an anoying uncle that yells Jackieeeeeeee!!! and call the move the Jackie Chan Adventures like the cartoon then they could make a ton in merchindising. Make the talismons give the holder special abilities, that in itself could make a fun card game, then there would be characters to add like Toro, the Shadow Khan, and Jade.

Only Jackie Chan would put bloopers in the trailer :D You have got to love the man and his movies.
