New Trailer for Peter Weir’s The Way Back

Roadshow Films has released a new trailer for Peter Weir’s “The Way Back”. Based on a true story, the film follows the escape of a small group of multi-national prisoners from a Siberian gulag in 1940 and their epic, life-affirming journey over thousands of miles across five hostile countries. Saoirse Ronan plays a young girl who falls in with the men on their trek. Luckily for her, these are apparently the “good” prisoner types, and not the “gang rape you” types, which, obviously, would have been really awkward for all parties.

Starring Colin Farrell, Ed Harris, Jim Sturgess, and directed by Peter Weir (“The Truman Show”, “Master and Commander”).

The film is currently scheduled for limited release on December 29, 2010 in L.A., and again on January 21, 2011 in other parts of the country.
