Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl do battle on the race track with cars (or those weird half-car things they drive) in a new trailer for Ron Howard’s “Rush”, a film that explores the dangerous world of Formula 1 racing. I believe it’s 10 times more dangerous than Formula 10 racing, which involves wagons. And horses. I could be wrong, of course, I’m not really much of a racing expert.
In case you missed it, an International trailer for the film was also recently released here. Feel free to watch both side by side. Or back to back. Or just watch this one. Really, it’s entirely optional. Kinda like this movie, frankly.
Set against the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, Rush portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed—handsome English playboy Hunt and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Lauda. Taking us into their personal lives on and off the track, Rush follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error. If you make one mistake, you die.
“Rush” also stars Olivia Wilde, Natalie Dormer, Joséphine de La Baume, Pierfrancesco Favino, Tom Wlaschiha, Christian McKay, and Patrick Baladi.
Speeding into theaters this September 20, 2013.
