Following up on this morning’s four new posters for Jonathan Liebesman’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” comes a new trailer for the Michael Bay-produced remake/re-envisioned/re-whatever you wanna call it. And I have to admit, it looks pretty good. The kids should love the crap out of this movie. I’m not sure if adults will be able to “get” that these are talking ninjas, who are also turtles, and mutants, who have a rat for a master.
Yeah, try explaining that to grandpa.
The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
The film stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner, and features the voices of Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, and Danny Woodburn.
Sharpening Shredder’s knives this August 8th.
