New Walking Dead Images Are Zombie-riffic; Season 2 Premiere Date Announced

AMC Television can do no wrong when it comes to original programming. With some good shows on there like “Breaking Bad” and “The Killing” for example, it was no surprise that “The Walking Dead” was going to be one hell of a fantastic show and ever since the first season premiered last year, we’ve all been eagerly awaiting for season two to begin. And once October rolls around, the wait won’t be much longer.

That said, AMC has released a couple of brand new photos from the upcoming season and as if you’d expect anything less, there’s lots of zombies to be seen left and right.

Based on the comics by Robert Kirkman, “The Walking Dead” centers on County Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) who finds himself utterly alone after waking up from a coma in the hospital. The world as he knows it is gone, ravaged by a zombie epidemic. “The Walking Dead” tells the story of the weeks and months that follow after the apocalypse.

“The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs and Norman Reedus.

In related news, season 2 of “The Walking Dead” will air Sunday, October 13 at 9 p.m according to EW.
