Another day, another bunch of goodies from Zack Snyder and the Watchmen company — this time it’s new character posters for the movie’s vigilantes, or as they’re called in Moore’s book, “costumed adventurers”. The new posters include: the sadistic The Comedian, the down and dirty Rorschach, the very blue Doctor Manhattan, the golden boy Ozymandias, the form-fittingly hot Silk Spectre, and Batman-lite himself, if Batman was kind of a screw-up with an obsession with owls instead of bats, Nite Owl. Snyder and Warner Bros. have sent the posters to a variety of places on the Interwebs (some more puzzling than others) as exclusives, so check them all out below for yourselves.
The L.A. Times got the Comedian, because what’s funnier than the L.A. Times, after all?
MTV landed the form-fitting Silk Spectre, which they’ve decided to stamp their ugly logo on it, which means I’ll have to find a clean version tomorrow to replace their version:
USA Today landed Rorschach, because really, what says geektastic movies like a copy of USA Today?
Entertainment Weekly got Doctor Manhattan, but for some reason decided we were all too lame to get a full-sized version, so they gave us this tiny little thumbnail thing. Seriously, EW, can you get any lamer? Update: EW has just replaced their crappy thumbnail version with a slightly bigger version (below). Still way too small, though, especially for an exclusive…
Wired got wired up with Ozymandias, and being the geek friendly site they are, was good and decent (and not totally clueless like some other sites) enough to have a full-sized version of their poster up:
And lastly, Access Hollywood (yes, friggin’ Access Hollywood) got Nite Owl. Seriously, folks, who is making these decisions over at the WB, and isn’t it time for them to join the 21st century?
