No Catwoman and Penguin for Batman Begins 3

Thank God someone over there has some sense, even if I don’t always like how he goes about writing them into the movies. The guy in question is David Goyer, who recently spoke to Digital Spy and made it very clear that he and the Batman Begins gang has no plans to introduce either Catwoman or The Penguin into “Batman Begins 3″, or whatever it ends up being called. Damn straight, Goyer. Why keep re-introducing the same bloody characters, when Batman’s Rogues Gallery is as massive as it is? They got it right by using Ra’s Al Ghul in the first one, and I suppose it was inevitable that the Joker eventually showed up in the second one.
Here’s what Goyer said:
“Batman has been published for 70 years. In the first movie, we used Ra’s Al Ghul and the Scarecrow, who had not been in the movies before, and had not been in the ’60s TV show before.
“There are dozens if not hundreds of other characters that fit that bill. Everyone says it’s got to be the Penguin or Catwoman [in the next film]… well I completely disagree.”
My suggestions for villains in the third one: Two-Face. That’s it. Aaron Eckhart vs. Christian Bale. Is that too much to ask?
Although I have to admit, if they can get someone to fill out the black latex as well as Michelle Pfeiffer did (ahem, below), and floated test photos of it around, I may reconsider the Catwoman stuff… But the Penguin? Too stupid a character for words, that one. And oh yes, don’t even think about the Riddler, too.

What about the minor charactors in the Dark Knight…1.The bank manager who the Joker doesn’t kill but say’s a line too? 2.Person in Wanye Enterprise who discover’s the batmobile, and want’s to blackmail Bruce. I wonder if these people become villians themself’s?

Batman begins and Thedarkknight Gordon’s son is a focus?? Does he become Electrocutioner? Doubtfull, but there has to be a reason for the focus on the son….
Joker does have a use for Harley Quinn, seeing that he is in Arkum now, she is his only outside link…And he can convert her into evil, like he converted Harvey Dent into Two-face!
The new version of the Penguin can appear as like what he really is a business tycoon pulling the strings in the background of the crime world of gotham city…Also appears as Oswald Cobberpot as a person guning for mayor to rule both sides of gotham city! Played by Philp Hoffman? Who might be close to signing in for batman 3??
Talia Al Ghul very doubtfull, but she is Bruce’s true love…Can’t really see her in batman 3 for she never was mentioned or appeared in batman begins when Bruce was training in the league of shadows? But she could reintroduce the league of shadows in some dark way, only done correctly tho!
Catwoman might be possible, but only if they do her as her true catburgler style of crime..Also the correct actress! 1.Mila Kunis?
Bane i might be able to see, seeing how Bane breaks batman in the comic books and would work for batman 3 if that is the last of them..But Bane has to be done correct not like in Batman forever!
Clay-face can’t see happening in batman 3, because it would be too much like Two-face, also Clay-face has the power to kinda change his form not nolan’s style…
Man-Bat can’t see happening in batman 3 for he is unreal for nolan’s style…
Two-face it is possible he will return as the main villian, question is did he flee or was he taken into Arkum? Also if taken to Arkum how does he escape?
Scarecrow very doubtfull, he had his moment to shine in batman begins he is now locked away in Arkum thanks to batman in the Dark Knight…

There does have to be a female villain, next time around. And I buy the allusion to Catwoman as well.
They DID bring in Joker’s dogs which was an interesting detail.. I think there may have been an intent to bring Harley and the Hyenas (if possible) in next time, but I agree that Depp, while incredible, is not Joker.. it just isnt him. BUT I said the same thing about Ledger a year ago, so who knows.
Hmm.. I would LOVE to see the Ventriloquist/Scarface.
Rhas Al Ghul is coming back at some point.. I suspect Talia in the next movie and an allusion to her father being alive toward the end. I doubt Talia will appear as a hard core criminal.
Three villains is TOO MANY.. stacking up villains in comic movies is how you know they arent worth your ticket.. to much slam not enough story.
Mr Freeze has been done, yes, BUT his story is extremely compelling (too bad it was almost completely ignored in the first attempt).
The blackmailer is definately a coming villain, but not as Ventriloquist.. too aggressive.. I think the Squid could be a more appropriate part, but I think they named Ghul as the squid in a very brief conversation in Begins.. yes? no? hmm.. Whoops.. I just looked it up.. his name is Wesker, so he is the Ventriloquist.. well there you go. The blackmailing accountant is coming in the next one as Scarface/Ventriloquist. Fantastic! Great choice!

Honestly…I think they should use Ra’s Al gul (sorry for spelling) daughter as a villain to hire bane….then they should use the story where bane broke batmans back and he hires Azrael…then that can explore the story of showing how batman is diffrent from badguys…like id like to actually see a villians where they can give batman a good fight
Come on they have to bring Catwoman in. Nolan would be able to work magic. If Catwoman comes into the picture….please do have Halle Berry. That catwoman movie she did was a complete joke and that wasn’t catwoman at all.
Michelle Pfeifer is the best catwoman ever…hands down…they should bring her back
And for the Riddler…..Jim Carey of course….I don’t think there is any other actor who be able to play the Riddler as good as Jim Carey. Bringing Jim Carey into the next Batman film with Nolan directing it….that will be a hit……Jim Carey can be silly and serious.
Jonny Depp can probably pull it off too..playing as the riddler. But if anything…if they decided to bring the Joker back….Johnny Depp will be a great selection to play the Joker.
But hands down Heath Ledger act his ass off in Batman 3. He did soo good I still couldn’t believe it was Heath that was playing the Joker.
There will be no point to bring Harley Quinn in the film if the Joker isn’t around. If they decide to bring Joker back…hoping that if they do it will be Johnny Depp then Harley Quinn needs to make an appearance as well.

dont say they cant replace the Joker cause they can. yes Heath Ledger gave one hell of a performance but they can replace him get someone as funny.
They should put Two Face and Riddler together. Who knows some good shit could happen in this movie. No Robin thats bullshit.

ok i kno no-one cares wat i have to say but heres wat i think would be an awsome story for a 3rd movie ok so if the penguin is in it i think it should be him riddler and bane theres a mob meating and oswald “penguin” cobllepot shows up and talks to other mob members about him becoming the new mob boss and there r crimes going on where the criminal leaves behind riddles and the riddler shows up to help the police [he wouldnt go by that name aroun the police] and he has been paid off by penguin to set up fake crimes and leave riddles and then show up with police pretending to be someone tryin to help them [and since there his riddles he'll know the answer] the penguin paid him off to do so to keep the police occupied and off his case,however batman gets suspicious and finds out the truth but since hes wanted the police dont believe him so he goes to kidnap the penguin to confirme wat he says is true but on his way he has an epic duel between penguins bodygaurd [bane] and batman then batmans set strait gothom is safe for now and it leaves us with a good fealing,also at the begining we see jokers trial [if they can get someone to sound like him] but no close ups and then mr reese shoots him at the trial because hes still angry about the hit on himself from joker,then joker falls down laughing as he dies.
