Noomi Rapace and Ben Kingsley Board Voyage of Demeter

Maybe the increasingly very busy Noomi Rapace isn’t going to have a whole lot of time to be fighting aliens for Ridley Scott in the “Alien” prequels after all, because according to the LATimes, the “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” actress has boarded the horror film “The Last Voyage of Demeter” along with Ben Kingsley.

Rapace will play a stowaway on the titular doomed boat, while Ben Kingsley’s role is unknown. Still uncast: Dracula himself, along with a male lead to fight the bloodsucker alongside Rapace.

Oscar-winner Stefan Ruzowitzky (“The Counterfeiters”) will direct the film, with the boys behind “Shutter Island” producing.

“Demeter” will chronicle the ill-fated journey of the Demeter, which is tasked with carrying Dracula’s coffin from his home in Transylvania to England, where he eventually went on to seduce poor Mina Harker in Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” stories. So I guess it’s a given that Drac will survive the trip.

Not so sure about everyone else, though…
