Domistics have been out for a long time, and i have respect for the old school muscle, 67 mustang, charger, gto, all does cars where great. But now the import cars rule, To name a few ,Toyota supra 93 to 98 model will eat up any domistic that stands in front, the 2jzgte can put down 1000 + horse power, The skyline now in the states could eat up any domistic for lunch, not even the corvet can compete, not even the Ford Gt can compete. The Lancer evo and the Subaru sti will eat up any muscle car on a track, the 350z stock will eat up a mustang gt easy. A single turbo T80 supra will eat up a viper easy.
I have an 04 mustang Cobra(supercharged)and it’s pushing 600 horses. There is no import that can hang with it-especially a little snot nosed rich kid with a evo or sti
When you say “hang with it” I sure hope you mean in a straight line and on tarmac, because I’d love to see your 600 horse rwd go head to head with a stock evo or sti in a rally x or on any winding dirt road for that matter, and god forbid you try to race on snow.
hands down muscle cars are the way to go putting gas prices aside, there are not many ricers that can come close to hanging out with muscle not even when you have set them up the same. American is always the best always is the best and always will be the best. lets see if the 2003 spoon civic can hold the value and power of the ss chevelle when it is 35 years old or maybe it will be stuck in the junk yard.
oh yeah the movie looks ok definatly wont be in to see it for the first week.
Anything can be made fast its just easier with a car that is fast already. The thing with v8’s is you can make power and still have something you can drive around on the street 500hp and more isn’t unheard of for a street legal car that isn’t breaking stuff all the time. Even import guys do it how popular is it to swap the 2.2 motors in a honda, a 20b motor in a rx7 and I forget what motors swap in the nissans? It all comes down to its easier to make more power with more displacement. Just Americans in general like the underdog be it the smaller motor or how our country started out.
I think they swap out Nissan motors with those SR20’s. I think. I gotta take the side of the Muscle Car guys here, there is no comparison between a 2JZ Supra Twin-Turbo and a Shelby Mustang GT-500, muscle cars were the kings long before the ricers arrived from overseas. But, everyone has their own opinion and if you do them up right, be they muscle or ricer, they can be big bad street brawlers. Everyone just prefers something different.
I am totally stoked that the GNX is making an apperance in F&F4, it’s one of my fav. muscle cars and it’s engine is still being used today in the GTP Grand Prix and SS Monte Carlo. Bring on the muscle, bring on the ricers, I cannot wait to see this movie.
It’s gonna be another rubber burning summer.
I think the best part is that brian and the 69 charger is back and I hope it kicks ass again and not get smashed, I nearly cried when that happened in the first one.
I hope there is more muscle car this time I’m sick and tired of almost all tuner with their small ass engines it pisses me OFF!!!!!
Muscle Cars are great for going fast…. in a straight line. I’d love to see any classic muscle car no matter how modified, try to beat a 2400 lb ricer (with proper suspension setup) around a real race track (read: one that actually has turns, and I don’t count oval tracks for all you NASCAR fans out there). Although I do have to say that my ‘98 Subaru Outback Sport has beatin many a muscle car (including built classics) at the strip. With a best time of 10.48, and I’ve only spent about $16k total on it, for the car, motor, tuning, brakes and suspension. So I’ll stick with my ricers simply because they are so much more responsive and fun to drive, especially at the (real) track.
Oh and on the note of gas; I actually get better mileage than stock at 38 highway and 29 city.
