Official Priest Trailer Finally Arrives to Save the Masses

Screen Gems has finally debuted the official trailer for Paul Bettany’s horror/comic book/fantasy movie “Priest”. It’s not quite the same trailer that was posted previously, which got pulled real fast by the studio, but it’s mostly the same stuff though I did notice some additional Maggie Q. and Karl Urban scenes if I’m not mistaken. Check it out below.

Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.

Starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Stephen Moyer, Mädchen Amick, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif, Casey Pieretti, Josh Wingate and directed by Scott Stewart.

Say your prayers May 13, 2011.

Looks great and Paul Bettany is a great actor…The new trailer remaind me a lot to judge dredd movie…I only hope that this movie dont be a flow up like Dredd movie.

I was thinking the same thing and it’s funny because The villain of the film is playing Dredd.

But all in all this looks suitably epic and cool. A post-apocolyptic Western vampire flick. It really does look good, much better than “Legion”. I can’t wait. I’ll probably be trying to get the Manga.

Same here Ded. I found some site that has the trades for cheap and I think Amazon got a hold of some as well. I read this off of my friend back in the beginning of college. Its pretty damn epic.
