Maybe it’s all Hollywood’s fault, but when I visualize guys with muscles bigger than my head, I think, “meatheads”, “dummies”, all those very not nice things. Turns out, maybe not so much. Check out a new trailer for director Vlad Yudin’s documentary “Generation Iron”, which follows a group of bodybuilders as they prepare for the Mr. Olympia competition. It might just change the way you view bodybuilders in general. I know it’s opened my eyes quite a bit.
Generation Iron examines the professional sport of bodybuilding today and gives the audience front row access to the lives of the top 7 bodybuilders (including Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren and Dennis Wolf) in the sport as they train to compete in the world’s most premiere bodybuilding stage – Mr. Olympia.
The film is narrated by Mickey Rourke, and features appearances by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, Jay Cutler, and bodybuilders Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren and Dennis Wolf.
Pumping you up in theaters this September 20, 2013.
