Old Magneto and Professor X Will Join Their Younger Selves in X-Men First Class Sequel

Well I guess it makes sense, given the premise of the upcoming sequel, “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, which involves time-traveling, which means an appearance by young and old versions of Professor X and his BFF/nemesis Magneto would fit right in.

The news comes courtesy of director Bryan Singer himself, who after tweeting that the primary cast of “X-Men: First Class” were officially coming back for the sequel (that would be James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult, FYI), also tweeted the return of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart (old Magneto and old Professor X, respectively).

So there you have it, kids. The gang’s all back!

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” returns to save the day in July 18, 2014.

If they do this right, with Sentinels and everything that made Days Of Future Past awesome, we could have the greatest CBM ever made… EVERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Agreed!!! This would actually be a good time to have some scenes reminicent of the Danger Room sequence but bigger. And THIS is the movie to go nuts with mutant cameos, as half would be cannon fodder for the sentinels. What would also be good is if in the future scenes they reference “The Wolverine” as that takes place AFTER the first X-trilogy.

What about Xavier dying in the third movie? you almost have to forget the whole phoenix thing, even though it made magneto realise that he was wrong.

        • Richard B. Riddick

at the end of the movie (i think after the credits) magneto is talking to someone, symbolizing he is there in some spirit way

          • Richard B. Riddick

talking to someone psychically that is

magneto doesnt, it was Dr. Moira MacTaggert that talks to a brain dead patient that xavier takes control. Which in a way, “brings him back” but in a different body, which takes away the whole Patrick Stewart thing. Dr Moira could make a good before and after side story also.

Actually the brain dead patient is the twin brother of Xavier who was born brain dead because of Xavier’s powerful abilities. So he looks and sounds exactly the same ergo Xavier is very much alive.
