Well I guess it makes sense, given the premise of the upcoming sequel, “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, which involves time-traveling, which means an appearance by young and old versions of Professor X and his BFF/nemesis Magneto would fit right in.
The news comes courtesy of director Bryan Singer himself, who after tweeting that the primary cast of “X-Men: First Class” were officially coming back for the sequel (that would be James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult, FYI), also tweeted the return of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart (old Magneto and old Professor X, respectively).
I’d like to officially welcome back James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, & Nicholas Hoult to #XMEN for #DaysOfFuturePast
