One Seriously Intense Trailer for Byeon Yeong-joo’s Crime Flick Train

Apparently I’m a few days late on this one, so I apologize if you’ve already seen the trailer for Byeon Yeong-joo’s upcoming South Korean suspense yarn “Train”. The film is based on a beloved novel by popular Japanese author Miyuki Miyabe, one that follows the danger and intrigue associated with being asked to help locate a missing person. Turns out it’s a lot more perilous than I thought it would be. Amazing.

Officially, here’s what the film is all about:

When a beautiful young woman disappears, a former detective is asked by the woman’s fiancée to help find her and he quickly finds out she is not who she claims to be.

“Train” stars Lee Seon-gyoon, Kim Min-hee, Jo Seong-ha, Kim Byeol, and Jang Dae-yoon. If, like me, you’re a fan of South Korean thrillers, you may have an interest in the clip embedded below. Take a few minutes out of your post-Super Bowl Monday morning and check it out.

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
