Ong Bak 3 Teaser Trailer is Knee Cracking, Bone Crunching Goodness

In my post for the “Ip Man 2″ teaser trailer, I lamented the lack of Donnie Yen punching guys in the face really fast. Or action in general, actually. That … isn’t a problem with this teaser trailer for Tony Jaa’s latest, the sequel to 2008′s “Ong Bak 2: The Beginning”, titled, well, “Ong Bak 3″. Hey, originality in movie titles ain’t all that important when you’ve got guys bouncing between giant elephants kneeing people in the face, am I right? Check out the teaser for “Ong Bak 3″, which is a direct sequel to “Ong Bak 2″. Via YouTube.

The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved stepfather at the Garuda’s Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) and the Kana Khone villagers. Deep into the meditation taught by Phra Bua (Nirutti Sirijanya), Tien finally is able to achieve ‘Nathayut’. His talents are put to the test again when his rivals including the Golden-Armored King’s Guard (Supakorn ‘Tok’ Kijusuwan), the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha (Dan Chupong) return for the final massive showdown.

Starring Tony Jaa, Dan Chupong, Kessarin Ektawatkul, and directed by Tony Jaa and Panna Rittikrai.

Thailand gets it first April 29, 2010.

to all the fake martial artist out there, do not look forward to this movie.
Because the moves Tony Jaa will perform will be exactly the same thing with Ong Bak 2.
So don’t expect circus stuff like how Jackie Chan does (like Ong Bak 1).

This movie is gonna be sick, I seriously can’t wait!

Ong Bak The Begining on DvD/Blu Ray this Feb 14.
Ong Bak 3 April 2010! Right before Iron Man 2!

I love that sick ass move he did to that guy, how he twisted his neck, that’s Ong Bak The Beginning style of fighting:)

I hope Tony Jaa realizes that he needs to step up his game. Im a big Tony Jaa fan, but Donnie Yen and Jaa’s chic protege from Chocolate are all surpassing him (not to mention a handful of others). I mean how many Ong Baks are u gonna do? If this is exactly like Ong Bak 2 then we have problems..Jaa will fall off the map, and thats truth. I Hope he brings it harder this time around..because he needs to. Love Jaa, but dude needs to switch things up and come with some different flavor.

      what are you talking about
Jija (chocolate) surpassing him is complete BULL!
She’s a good martial artist woman, but every movie she’s been in has trash stories! Plus has moves doesn’t compare to Tony Jaa.

Tony Jaa is the new Bruce Lee: Jet Li, Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan all rolled into 1! So how can Donnie Yen best this beast?

Yes it was wrong to do another Ong Bak movie for starters, but it’s because this is Tony Jaa’s first movie (as a director) and was acclaimed for his awesome movie “Ong Bak”. He sees fits that making his own debute movie in the name of Ong Bak the beginning will be an honour to his smash hit Ong Bak 1.

And Ong Bak The Beginning is one of the best martial arts movies out there.

I don’t get what you mean by he needs to come up with a different flavour:/

Because he did with Tom Yum Goong and Beginning.
In Ong Bak 1 he used Mauy Thai through out.
In Tom Yum Goong he changed the way Mauy Thai is used.
Beginning he showed cased different martial arts moves with his own unique moves in form of Muay Thai.
Ong Bak 2: using Mauy Thai in a crazy, furious and ballistic way! (This is gonna be BEAST!)

In all seriousness, I agree. Jaa is pretty intense but I find myself liking Raging Phoenix more than anything I’ve seen from him so far, and thats alot from me being that female action stars never bring the intensity to me. Only a handful are exempt (Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Q, Xang Xi Yi). I have faith in Jaa. I honestly think he needs to come overseas and learn english. Then he could get a decent story or a more coherent one to go along with his kicking and bowing peoples souls from their body.

Totally agree Bro! Raging Phoenix was utterly amazing and better than any of Jaa’s stuff..Kinda funny considering its from the same studio and Jaa is usually involved with the choreography…And thats probaly why i still have faith as well. Not sure about the coming to america thing, seeing as we usually ruin great asian action stars…But i understand your point. The problem i had with Ong Bak 2 was that it was really pretencious and tried to be something it wasn’t. Heres to hoping this time around is a good one!!!!

        WTF!???

You want Tony Jaa to come to US to learn English and make his career trash like how Jet Li and Jackie Chan did!?
Tuxedo, Unleashed, etc. The only US movie Jackie Chan did that was successful was Rush Hour 1 and 2.

Please! Tony Jaa is perfect the way he is, you don’t see Donnie Yen going overseas to make his career better (except for Blade 2).

And you two have a bad taste in martial arts movies. Raging Phoenix being awesome!??
The movie has no plot, Jija’s flow of fighting and becoming the best doesn’t make sense.
Yes the fighting in the movies were deeply impressive. But overall of the movie was bad!
