Oodles of New Footage in Japanese Trailer for Brave

Brave (2012) Movie Japanese PosterApparently, if I’m understanding this correctly, the law of the forest has been broken in the movie “Brave” (or as it’s known in Japan, “Merida and the Frightening Forest”). What law is that? I have absolutely no idea. This Japanese trailer for the film keeps saying that the “law of the forest has been broken” but, um, I don’t know what that is exactly. Granted, I don’t speak Japanese, but there are English subtitles, and they aren’t filling in any of the blank spaces. Of course, I could be missing it, but I don’t think I am.

Regardless, there are still a ton of new footage in the Japanese trailer, so it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re interested in Pixar’s latest offering. In fact, there are more footage here than in all the domestically released teaser, trailers, and clips that have been released so far. Thanks, land of the rising sun!

The film features the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, and Robbie Coltrane. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman.

Shooting straight June 22, 2012.
