Industry insiders (you know, the people who get paid to make up this stuff?) are predicting a $45 million or more opening weekend for the latest “Fast and Furious” sequel, officially known as “Fast & Furious”, because calling it “The Fast and Furious 4″ would be just too pretentious. Directed by Justin Lin, who also helm the previous installment, the fourth outing reunites the franchise’s original stars, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez. The film opens tomorrow April 4th, and this is your “Fast & Furious” Open Discussion Thread.
Heading back to the streets where it all began, two men rejoin two women to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Connor. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

I think it will make between 35-50 million.
Ok so I know everyone is super excited about this film coming out and I really don’t wanna be the girl to burst everyone’s bubble. Call me an uber fan but my biggest dissappointment was the demise of the original “gang”. Letty dies w/in the first like 20 min of the movie which completely annoyed me. Also, the first one left off with a major cliff hanger. Vince was bleeding to death and needed emergency hospital care which was provided to him via helicopter immediately after Brian blows his cover.Jessie is shot and last seen in Mia’s arms also bleeding to death. So basically, Letty dies and we never know what happens to Vince, Leon and Jessie. This is odd considering the first installment of the franchise really nailed it home that this was a team..a team that seems to be so easily forgotten and has now been replaced by anonymous faces in the fourth one. All in all, the action in the fourth one is beyond amazing. The plot however, not so much. Some may disagree with me. I think fans who have seen the first one and have fallen in love with the original will be at least a little dissappointed. Newcomers to the franchise may find it thrilling..who knows? Hope I didn’t ruin the movie for you..I still support the “team” (whoever that may be) and want this movie to do well.
yes im 100% in agreement.. i am a car fan myself but this film was soooo far fetched an there was way to much computer generated effects.. meaning that these things were obviously un do able in relity e.g the stupid rolling tanker.. the charger which blew up then came back at the end the cars which just dramiticaly apperared lol its a joke and the story.. what story? it was pointless im rele disapointed by this film nothing like 2f 2f which tyrease was in who suprise suprise wasnt in this lol im glad i watched it for free as i woulndnt want to pay to see this film.
i disagree i think the stroyline was fine (although its been used many times) the cg actually fitted in this time unlike 2 fast 2 furious when they had the race at first u could blatantly see the cg but this time its harder to notice.
the aim of the film isnt meant to reflect reality it would be boring if it did
its here to say “HEY wouldnt it be cool if this actually happened”
im glad i went to watch this film they actually concentrated on more of a action scene than the street racing scene which makes it alot better with the use of a few sweet cars
i agree with u and jessie dies cuz he gets shot and dies but i dont know what happened with the other people. i dont understand that part too. i still dont get y they had to kill letty that was just stupid!!!!!!
Every second of this movie is worth watching. Yea true some stories were left untold and Hahn should have had more screen time, but this brought everything together. The end was somewhat of a teaser which probably means #5. Even then once again every second worth watching.

I saw some clips of the premier, and he said he mentioned he will be then he lost his part for this but might be in the sixth
No Nix, the real reason they dropped the title back to “The Fast and the Furious” was in the hope that consumers would forgot how dead the horse they’re beating is.

The decision to re-bond the original casts was a bullseye. The renaming of the film is quite uninspiring, nevertheless.. reminds us of the first ever film of this title. My opinion, it can be put into these conclusions.
1. It is just simply a great movie.
2. A lot of questions left unanswered from the 1st F&F.
3. Letty died too soon (I suspect the screenwriters did not watch enough of the first F&F.)
4. The GPS concept was nice. Hopefully in the future we can see something similar or better.
5. Paul Walker & Vin Diesel should NEVER EVER be excluded from any forthcoming sequel(s). They are the ones who make or break F&F.
6. The stunts were great.
7. Again, it is just simply a great movie.

the movie was freaken awsome i did not like the fact that letty dies so soon and im guessing its suppose to be be for part 3 because haun is in it and he leaves for tokeo but it really is a good movioe and i hope there is a five to find out what happens with vin and that white guy from tokeo but all and all a great movie as good as one if not better
