Optimus Prime Gets a Slightly New Design in Transformers 4

Transformers 4 (2014) Movie Title Logo

If you were worried that Michael Bay was going to toss Optimus Prime aside like one of those interchangeable models he dates on a regular basis (he is a superstar movie director, after all, I am assuming he gets plenty of hot tail) when he sorta “reboots”/though not really the “Transformers” franchise with the upcoming “Transformers 4″, you can rest assured, ol Optimus will still be around to fight evil, both in metal and fleshy form. Check out what Optimus Prime’s truck form will look like in the upcoming movie. (Or Op, as his personal friends (like me) call him.)

According to Michael Bay, this is the “completely upgraded, custom-built Optimus Prime from Western Star.”

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

“Transformers 4″ stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, T.J. Miller, and is due out next year June 27, 2014.
