Orlando Bloom, heroic star of “The Kingdom of Heaven” and the “Lord of the Rings” films, will be getting his villain on in Paul W.S. Anderson’s “Three Musketeers” movie for Summit Entertainment. The actor has signed on to play the Duke of Buckingham, the arch-nemesis to the Musketeers, to be played by Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans and Matthew Macfadyen as Porthos, Athos and Aramis, respectively.
Already in the cast: “Percy Jackson’s” Logan Lerman, “Inglourious Basterds'” Christoph Waltz and the mother of Anderson’s children, Milla Jovovich, with Juno Temple previously in talks to join as the Queen. Young Mister Lerman is essentially the film’s lead — he’ll be playing D’Artagnan, the young Musketeer through whose eyes much of the story unfolds.
Anderson and crew starts shooting their 3D version of Alexandre Dumas’s tale later this summer for a summer 2011 release.
