Don’t be mistaken: this isn’t really 25 minutes of actual footage from Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”, it’s just 25 minutes worth of B-roll footage. See the difference? B-rolls are behind-the-scenes looks at the making of a film, so you’ll usually see the same scene shot from different angles, way before the CGI are inserted and the wires digitally erased. In the case of a movie like Spider-Man, which involves a superhero, there are LOTS of CGI to be inserted and digital erasing of wires left to be done. In a lot of ways, watching these six B-roll videos take a lot of the magic out of going to the movies, so that’s a caveat for those among you who would rather not know how Spidey did his Spidey thang.
Peter Parker finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner.
The reboot stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Fields, Julianne Nicholson, Campbell Scott, Rhys Ifan, Irrfan Khan, Annie Parisse, Chris Zylka, and swings into theaters July 3, 2012.
