Plot: Chinese action/horror/thriller/romance movie centered on a vampire-like woman (Xun Zhou) who eats the skins and hearts of her lovers in order to maintain her youthful appearance. Things become complicated when the demon falls in love with a human man (Kun Chen), who happens to already be married to a woman (Wei Zhao) who begins to suspect the demon’s real identity.

I saw the poster on the May issue at Cannes 2008 film Festival. I was amazed at the dark setting and the amount of light used to see behind the character on the cover.
It is an amazing film which is adapted from an ancient Chinese folk stroy’strange stories’.Though it is supposed to be a thrilled movies,the touching segements in this film really deserve audience’s tears.Well Done!
You got to listen to the theme song. It is amazingly touching, reflecting the theme of the movie and emotions of the main characters precisely. In addition, the singer (Jane Zhang)’s voice is unique with a mixture of east and west flavors. Do not miss it at the end of the movie.
this movie is great. AT 1st i thought it’s was very scary by the poster but it’s very touching make me cry special the sound track ( love it). So touching you should watch it.
I have just watched the movie now and i have to say that it is amazing. It was so emotional and wonderful that it made me burstinto tears, although i was glad to see the ending. I would advise those you have not yet seen the movie, to do so. In addition, the theme song by Jane Zhang is also fantastic. The film is magnificent and remarkable.
Also the guy who played Commander Wang Sheng was also excellent… I think his name is Chen Kun….Well something like that…
