Palm Pictures Acquires Marcelo Pineyro’s The Method

Variety reports that Palm Pictures, a distribution company known for putting out great smaller movies, has acquired U.S. rights to the Marcelo Pineyro’s Argentinean/Spanish psychological thriller, “The Method.” Described by Reel.com as “Survivor in a boardroom where immunity challenges are not allowed”, the film stars Eduardo Noriega (“The Devil’s Backbone”), Najwa Nimri, and Eduard Fernandez, and is about seven of the corporate world’s elite pursuit of the top job at Dexia Corporation.

Palm Pictures will release “The Method” in theaters during the summer, followed shortly by a DVD release, where much of Palm Pictures’ films find their real audience. Their previous film releases have included the fantastic Iraq War documentary “Gunner Palace” and the Zhang Ziyi starrer “Purple Butterfly”.
