Anyone who has heard the comedy of actor/comedian Patton Oswalt knows that the dude is a total nerd. I mean, a major, uber nerd. He once went on a rant about how George Lucas screwed up the “Star Wars” franchise with his prequels that is pretty damn legendary.
You can check that rant out below if you’re one of those poor souls who have never heard it:
Anyways, so Oswalt was on Thursday’s “Parks and Recreation” TV show, where he had to do a filibuster at a meeting of some type (I dunno, I don’t watch the show), and for that scene, he was apparently asked to improv his filibuster. He came up with, of course, an 8-minute rant about what should happen/be in the new “Star Wars” movies that Disney is planning.
It involves, in case you can’t already guess, a bunch of cross-overs from a bunch of other comic book/nerd franchises:
EW, in turn, decided to do a mock poster featuring Oswalt’s ideas. Well, most of them, anyway.
That resulted in this:
I gotta admit, a “Star Wars” movie crossed with “The Avengers”, “The X-Men”, and Moon Knight don’t sound half bad. I mean, who doesn’t want a Moon Knight movie? Or an appearance in a movie? Dude is due, is all I’m saying.
