Paz De La Huerta is the star of the upcoming Lionsgate horror movie “Nurse 3D”. It’s about a killer nurse who, well, kills people. Probably in very obvious, gimmicky 3D ways. Because, you know, they heard that you kids love that stuff. Anyways, the film will be directed by Douglas Aarniokoski, who recently came out with the indie post-apocalyptic “The Day”, a film that I haven’t heard from again since reporting on it months ago.
So, “Nurse 3D”. What’s it about? De La Huerta will play “Abby Russell, a beautiful, dedicated nurse with a sinister side, and a secret life’s work in which she targets and punishes dishonest men.” Lionsgate is promising “risqué scenes in R rated” fashion and that things (by which we assume, the violence) will be “extremely visceral in 3D”.
The film is still far from production (a September start date is in the planning), but Lionsgate has put out this “pre-production concept art” of the film’s lead Paz De La Huerta in character as Abby. We’re guessing she’ll wear a little bit more clothing in the film. Or at least, when she’s doing the rounds as a nurse. Probably.
