Everyone that has blogged on here is right. The PC is way over the top. I guess Hollywood feels that if they don’t make the film multi-racial, it won’t receive the viewing support they want from the “minority” groups of America. I also agree that what made the original movie was the fact that “regular” everyday people had to unite for a common cause. As a 12 year Army veteran with 5 years of combat time, I would have to say that outside of a few ex-military banding together and running interdiction raids to soften the spirits of the enemy, America neither has the ability to reconcle their differences long enough to for a lasting difference against an organized state sponsored milita. 9-11 was a prime example of America’s bonding. 12 months later, no one’s flying flags or displaying American pride. Don’t think for a moment that the enemy doesn’t know how to soften America. Unlike the enemy, a large majority of our youth today has no patriotic duty to serve this nations armed forces, nor would they give their lives in the face of adversity. China and Russia shaking hands to attack US soil? HIGHLY unlikely. Honestly, I don’t think China would ever extend itself to invade another continent without complete control of Aisa and Europe first. Russia and the Middle East would give China a run for their money. And since China is a major industrial superpower, the United States would join the coilition against China. I almost feel that a scenario as portrayed in the TV series “Jerico” would be mote realistic.

No one support the film by not going to watch it at the movie theaters! Make this shitty director, who has to make his debut with a remake, go broke! Screw him and all the other foolish and greedy enough to make easy money ripping off original movies. Stop ripping off the originals, Hollywood! There is a limit to how much people can take your crap!

Jed here, just want to let yall know that when they filmed the original movie, they trained the kids out in the wild, in the same hills where they shot the movie. The kids had months of camping, combat training, and working together as a team. Can you see that happening with this one?

RUSSIA. CHINA. Give me a break! This isn’t the way to go if you want it to be up to date. Take another look at America’s current situation in the world, and the technology available today.
There shouldn’t be a REMAKE. It should be a different movie completely,because that’s what it is. Way to say it, Turnbone!

Gotta agree, I was kind of excited about this thing until all of the multicultural BS came into play. We get it Hollywood, nothing can be accomplished without contributions from every race color and creed…yuck. I love how the gen y bunch has decided to take an American “can do it” movie and make it PC.

Asian- american cheerleader? African american star footballer? Give me a friggin break.

This is from an actual DoD scenario. The chinese dont really have this much in it. They had been incinerated from the getgo by russia. this was STRICTLY USSR and south/central american cannon fodder.

Peck was not on Disney Channel, it was Nickelodeon, and he is a great comedic actor. Looking forward to seeing him serious!
