Rabbit Horror 3D (2011) Movie PosterThey can change the film’s name to “Tormented” all they want — Takashi Shimizu’s latest horror-based offering will always be “Rabbit Horror 3D” in my eyes. The former sounds impossibly generic, while the latter suggests you’re about to get yourself into something seriously bizarre. While you’re waiting for the film to arrive this month in Japan (Well Go USA is taking care of us in the States at a later date), take a peek at the latest clip from the flick below. It’s odd, which is just the way I like it.

Not familiar with the flick? Here’s a synopsis:

Rabbit Horror 3D centres on a young boy whose family seems to be unravelling around him. His sister is grappling with the reality of life or death, while his storybook illustrating father walks a line with insanity. The situation intensifies when the boy manifests a dangerous friendship with a stuffed toy rabbit that comes to life. Is he insane or are they all delusional?

“Rabbit Horror 3D” opens in Japan on September 17th, 2011.
