“Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief” was an okay film if you’re a kid. Which makes sense, since it was based on a Young Adult book for kids. It wasn’t really a huge hit, but it apparently turned enough of a profit for Fox to continue pushing the franchise, with the sequel, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” due out this August.

Check out the first trailer for “Sea of Monster”, which finds the kids once again tackling magic and evil wizards (or demons or half-Gods or something). Well, they’re not really kids. Kids-ish, I guess you’d call them. Sorta looks a lot like the “Harry Potter” movies, actually…

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters continues the young demigod’s epic journey to fulfill his destiny. To save their world, Percy and his friends must find the fabled and powerfully magic Golden Fleece. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle), they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.

Starring Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Nathan Fillion, Stanley Tucci, Jake Abel, Missi Pyle, Daniel Cudmore, Leven Rambin, and Anthony Head.

Thor Freudenthal directs the film, scheduled to save the day this August 16, 2013.
