The novels deal too much with taboos scenes that really have to be included in order to drive home the reality of the situations (ie. Ghanima and Leto almost having sex when they decided to test their Other Memory in Children of Dune, Sheanna raping the 10yo ghola of Miles Teg in Chapter House, etc.).
