Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Scheduled for 2011

I think it’d be a good and a bad thing. Cool because they’re good movies. Bad, because POTC is getting old.

I honestly like the POTC movies…they are the best..especially the third, but they cannot possibly not make a 4th one. they just cant. not the way they ended the fourth, it just cant be like that. I also was reading into the third National Treasure, and a funny idea came up. That Ben Gates would b looking for the Fountain of Youth and then he would see Sparrow and Barbossa. like a disney version of Aliens Vs. Predator….

I think that it is a good thing because it answers the details… but it is bad because Knightly said that three was enough for her. They cannot make another POTC without her she was there for the beginning she has to be there for the end to make it a good movie.

I think they could wrap up with a fourth movie. It would be great if there were references to Will and Elizabeth, and maybe some small scenes to offer a sense of closure, but even without them I think a fourth can be done. I think it should be done. It was mentioned in #3 that the golden age of piracy is coming to an end- which it did around 1720. It would be great to end it with Jack Sparrow and Barbosa nearly getting caught and executed- only to escape and slip away to some glorious old age right as the age of the pirates closes. Savvy?

I LOVE pirates but if “Will Turner” and “Elizabeth Swan” dont come back, than I see no point in the movie. I consider tham just as important as “Jack Sparrow.” I think thet the couple made pirates so interesting. with out them its not pirates of the carribean, its Jack Sparrow. the franchise will lose all of their romance fans!

I LOVE POTC!!!!!!!!!!!!they have to at least let orlando in the 4th move they need the romance thats part of wat makes potc so good that its a move everyone can enjoy its got the battle, the comedy, the suspence and the romance they have to keep in the cast from the 1st 3 moves cos it wont be the same. the end to the last move was sad i cryed we have to know if jack finds his way back to the black perl and if will is stuck on the ocean fore the next 10 years.

I think they should stop. Saw should stop, Final Destination should stop, AVP should have never had a sequel. The cinemas need something new now. But yes, Cinderfinrella, it would wrap up the details.

OMG when i saw when the 4th part of this movie was being released i almost had a heart attack. I love POTC and love Johnny Depp. They cant take so long… i forbid it… im gonna be 25 by the time the movie comes out…NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:(

The Only Possible Way They Could Make A Fourth Movie Is If Elizabeth And Will WEREN’T In It. Think About It. They Already Took Care Of That At The End Of The Third Movie, Right??? Or Did You All Not WATCH The End?

You know what.. i bet when they find the foutain of youth in national treasure i bet it will have a pirate sword next to it or one of the cursed madalions in it or something. lol. i wouldn’t be surprised is disney threw something in like that… what do you think??

I think all th actors are amazing and if there is a 4 or 5 i think all of them should bee in it!!!

I’m so excited to hear this. Jack and Barbossa are the best characters in the movies, and if they return that is wonderful. Plus Will and Elizabeth’s story is over, I don’t see there being any point in them return. Plus Orlando had said that he’s ready for something new. I mean he did Lord of the Rings for year and then Pirates.

i know some people think it is a bad idea but i don’t care how many more movies they make, all i know is that i will watch every single one of them
and will and Elizabeth were awesome characters but if they don’t come back then they need to find a new character(s) coz only jack and barbossa would be kinda lame

Don’t know if anybody picked up on this yet but at the end of the third film, and I mean the very end after the credits, theres a short scene “10 Years Later..” it essentially ends Will and Elizabeth Turner’s story together movie wise assuming Will stays loyal to his duties on aboard The Dutchman. And as much as I want to see this movie happen I don’t want to see them butcher the series by adding even MORE fantastical ideas. The history of the fountain of youth is detailed enough to create an amazing story line. Think natives(not like the tribe in DMC), Spainards(Ponce De Leon, Cortez the Killer). I’d be more interested in that then seeing floating fortresses or Dinosaurs. Just a thought, maybe POnce found the fountain and it’s his duty to protect it’s secret in exchange for living forever.

I liked it best when sparrow and barbossa hated each other. It would be nice to see the writers staying clear of rediculously supernatural plot lines and further explore the strange folklore of the Caribbean and piracy of that age in general.

I love the movie to death, I’ve watched every one of them and never get tired of it. I know the lines and every detials. I think that Will and Eliz should be back in 4th part because the way 3rd part ended with Eliz and their son waiting for Will, I’m dying to see if they end up together or stuck with their unfortune fate of waiting for 10 years and 1 day on shore. I think that somehow, youth of fourtine will end their fate and show the final scene of Jack and his foe.

They should include all main characters, without one of them, it’s not a movie.

Alot of people think there should stop at the 3rd movie but why if they dont make a continuing story u’ll be wondering what happens next. Its like Spider Man 4(2009) you kinda want it to end but u like it too much, Last thing why so fuking far away, I mean 2011. It better be good for it to taking 3 in a half years.

If i am waiting for something than for Jack Sparrow his monologs in PoTC3 to himself’s was brilliant and i was watching PoTC only because i love Jack Sparrow i didnt really bother with Elizabeth and Will (i wonder if the action would be 10 years after PoTC like after Subscribes or when jack was looking at his Compass for Rum bottle xD)

….Being of portugese decent and having pirate ancestry, i find it interesting that my family would have acted these ways, wore those clothes and talked like that.

i think it’s a good idea will and elizabeth will be walking the plank.
elizabeth can be bitchy at time, and mr. turner will always be a blacksmith in my eyes.

the true hero of these movies isn’t the over-commercialized jack sparrow, it’s barbossa!
jeoffrey rush genuinely sounds like, looks like, and acts like what i feel a true pirate, my ancestors, did.
i had no idea who jeoffrey rush was or that he had so many movies before potc began.
you can never have too much of a good thing, so as long as the writers continue with the twisting turning plots, and disney keeps jeoffrey rush employed and give him equal (or more) camera shots as depp, it will never get “old” or “boring” and they can count on my $8 at the theater.

OK people, remember that at the end of #3, Jack Sparrow was ALONE floating away from the camera in his little boat, lol. Perhaps that was their way of telling us the future of the film franchise. Jack may well be starting all over again, new land, new friends,new adventures. It’s been done before ! ! !

Elizabeth can go. I can’t stand her. Will should come back, he is imortal after all. You’ll all remember that the Black Pearl is the feature ship, how is Jack to get the Black Pearl to get to the fountain of youth???, why by Will finding him and helping. Thats what Will does, he helps Jack. Barbossa will be back (i love geoffrey rush), you need the friction between the two. The fourth should be more about Jack, which would work, but we need the original characters to intereact with him.
I can’t wait till a new one comes out. I hope it does

…not only did “Kandi” agree with me that Jack Sparrow is over-commercialized and appears all too often…apparently she didn’t pay close attention to potc 2, while it’s true barbossa only appeared at the end of the film, there where PLENTY of signs of him if you only look.
in Tia Dalma’s hut for example, when the over-commercialized Jack Sparrow was riffling through the hut he came across a hat… a big, beautiful, black hat…guess who that belongs to?
also when Jack reappears with Barbossa’s monkey for “payment” to Tia Dalma, the monkey high-tails it as soon as Tia opened the cage door, and where did the monkey go?
…he ran into the bedroom, sat right beside a boot….a big, beautiful, black boot, …guess who’s sleeping in those boots?

Aaron is indeed correct, I have all three movies on my laptop and upon reading his comments saying that ‘Dead Man’s Chest’ had little clues about barbossa, I went rummaging through the clips to see if he was right.

And he was, Jack did indeed find barbossa’s hat while rummaging through Tia Dalma’s things, infact it’s the first thing he pickes up. But since there wasn’t alot of attention drawn to the fact of the hat, we all just assumed it was nothing special and did not recognise it as barbossa’s from the first movie. Also I watched the clip with the monkey several times, indeed he did run into the bedroom and jumped ontop of the bed, on the bed lay some boots, but that is all you could see.

As for the fourth movie, I’d love to see it happen. However I am afraid that Keira and Orlando shall not be making an appearance. I read that Orlando, who is now in his 30’s I believe, really wants to settle down and have children and he can’t if he’s filming another epic movie. Keira has publicly anounced she does not want to do more pirate movies, she has been doing them since she was 18 and feel’s she has to move on. I am a bit dissapointed, as the whole reason I went to see the first pirate movie was because of those two. As I was big fan of both of their works so far. I hope they will both change their minds, but it seems unlikely.

I also read that IF they do make another movie, it will most likely center almost completley around Jack. His life and his past and how that connects to his future adventures. Of course they would have to include barbossa, Jack will want his pearl back and he’ll have to go through barbossa to get it.

I would paticulary like to see a new character pop up, as Jack’s son or daughter. Jack has played around with alot of women, I’d like to see an outcome of this and another character to be created. Jack is afterall meant to be around the same age as Boot Strap Bill, since they did sail together. So he’s old enough to have a child perhaps a bit younger then Will, I think a dramatic scene where a complete stranger saves Jack and then later we discover it’s his child, would be GREAT!! But that’s just me lol.

As much as I love all of the Pirates film. own little things like calenders and such. the DVD’s they way they ended the 3rd installment(FOR THOSE WHOSE SAW PAST THE END CREDITS WHEN ELIZABETH HAD HER 10 YEAR SON AND WILL CAME BACK)I don’t think there should be a fourth. I like the way the movie ended with the end credits and all there shouldn’t be a fourth. Thats my opinion.
