Portman Will Do A Professional Sequel In Two Seconds With Besson, But That Won’t Happen

A sequel to Luc Besson’s 1994 classic “The Professional” has been talked about for years, but nothing substantial has ever materialized on that front. Besson has stated publicly that he won’t direct a new addition to the family, and Natalie Portman, who played orphan cum littlest-hitgirl, Mathilda, indicates that fact is unlikely to change.

She told MTV that she won’t even read the script without Besson.

“I have never read it because Luc won’t direct it himself, and so I’m only interested if he [directs],” she said while at the Toronto Film Festival promoting “Black Swan.”

“I told him if he would do it himself, I would do it in two seconds,” Portman said. “But he won’t, so…”

This is barely even news, but it gives you an excuse to look at Natalie Portman for a few minutes.

Anyone pining for a sequel to Léon didn’t understand it.

Just because you can make a sequel to a movie, doesn’t mean that you should. And this is a perfect example of that.

It’s a shame because is a great movie..but with RENO out of the movie,,,is very difficult to be better than the original
