From everything I’ve seen, Ben Affleck’s “Gone Baby Gone” is shaping up to be a pretty decent, if not good looking film. Maybe Ben will finally be able to produce something good as long as he’s not allowed to STAR in it. I like the guy, but you gotta admit nothing he’s touched in the years since “Good Will Hunting” has been remotely good. In any case, Ben’s latest is also his directorial debut, the gritty mystery thriller “Gone Baby Gone”, and this morning we got the one-sheet poster and a couple of images from the movie.

“Gone Baby Gone” is Ben Affleck’s directorial debut and is based on the novel from the acclaimed author of “Mystic River.” It is an intense look inside an ongoing investigation about the mysterious disappearance of a little girl. Two young private detectives (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) are hired to take a closer look at the case and soon discover that nothing is what it seems. Ultimately, they will have to risk everything — their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives — to find a little girl-lost. The film also stars Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman (”Million Dollar Baby”) and Academy Award Nominee Ed Harris (”Pollack”).

“Gone Baby Gone” stars Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, John Ashton, and is directed by Ben Affleck. It opens October 19th, 2007 in limited release.
