Posters for Rob Zombie’s Halloween

The more I think about this remake of Carpenter’s “Halloween”, the more I think it’s such a stupid idea. You gotta wonder why Rob Zombie, a notoriously obsessed horror movie fan would even consider remaking Carpenter’s 1978 original. It’s not like there’s anything left to be said that the franchise’s, what, eight installments didn’t already say? But hey, who am I to argue against Hollywood commerce — if they want to needlessly remake a seminal horror movie classic, then by the Almighty Dollar they will do so. I’m just surprised Zombie was the one to do it, that’s all. You’d think someone who claims to have so much respect for the genre would be above such endeavors.

But hey, maybe that’s just me.

After young Michael Myers killed his older sister one Halloween night he was committed for 15 years to a mental institution were he soon broke out and is in search for his little sister Laurie Strode as he returns back to his home town Haddonfield and finds his sister she and hers friends must put up a battle to survive as Michael Myers tries to kill them.

Starring Daeg Faerch, Danielle Harris, Malcolm McDowell, Danny Trejo, Sheri Moon, and directed by Rob Zombie. It scares up cash from a teen audience too stupid to know this is a remake on August 31st, 2007.
