Do I really need to put a SPOILER tag on this? Probably, yeah, since it is a spoiler not only about the upcoming part 6, but apparently reveals the identity of the villain for part 7 and gives away a major death as well. IF TRUE, that is. It could all turn out to be unsubstantiated rumors.

But probably not, though, so read on at your own risk.

First, remember that it’s been reported for a while now that part 6 and 7 were going to shoot back-to-back, with the two parts making for one big storyline. This rumor, courtesy of AICN, would seem to back that up.

The Fast and the Furious - Toko Drift (2006) Movie PosterAccording to the site, “Fast and Furious 6″ will end happily ever after, with our heroes victorious and Luke Evans’ Owen Shaw villain taken down. After this, there will be a coda, either immediately after this happy ending or saved for an after-the-credits stinger (similar to how they did the big Letty reveal in the last movie).

In the stinger, we’ll see that Owen Shaw has a brother name Ian (to be played by Jason Statham!), who shows up in Tokyo and kills Sung Kang’s Han character as retaliation for his brother’s death, setting the stage for “Fast and Furious 7″. AICN has a lot more on how Ian does this, but the take away is that Ian kills Han, calls Dom, and sets up the next film’s revenge plotline.

Besides leading into part 7, this would also tie up the rest of the “Fast and Furious” franchise with “Tokyo Drift”, Lin’s first movie in the franchise, and the big elephant in the room. Statham, as you’ll recall, was also previously rumored to be playing the villain in “Fast and Furious 6″, but Evans ended up with that role. Perhaps this was the idea all along? And finally, this would also allow Lucas Black’s Sean Boswell to return to the franchise, given the ending of “Tokyo Drift” featured a cameo by Vin Diesel.

So I guess this means Han won’t be in “Fast and Furious 7″. Bummer.

Doesn’t make sense. Han died in Tokyo drift by the villain in that movie.

The idea could be really good, but they need to work on it a bit, but i really like the idea…

This is really cool news if it turns out to be true.

Well.. In Tokyo drift …Haan gets killed at the end of a Tokyo street car chase..when a white car rams into his yellow car.. they could show that Statham’s character was tracking Haan’s movements and he was in the white car and rammed it into Haan’s car deliberately…
Would be cool to see Statham in F&F 7 though

In ff3 Han was chased by DK because his uncle found out Han was making side deals and not paying the yakuza their cut. Jason’s character could be the one who tipped off the yakuza to Han’s side deals. That would have caused Han to die.

They said Hans car gets hit by a mercedes which could be driven by Ian Shaw (Jason Statham)
