Yes, what you previously heard was correct — they really are considering making a sequel to Zack Snyder’s “300”. And yes, Frank Miller and Zack Snyder are actively involved in making of said sequel. According to Collider.com, who spoke to Snyder at the recent Saturn Awards, Frank Miller is, at this very moment, working on a new story that will either be a sequel or prequel to “300”. If producers Mark Canton, Gianni Nunnari and Bernie Goldmann approve of the new story, then they’ll make it happen. And of course by “if they approve”, what I mean is, “as soon as Frank Miller finishes it, they’ll throw $50 million into production the next day”.
I’m guessing prequel, which would seem to make sense, ala the early days of Leonidas, etc. After all, they wouldn’t be able to do a sequel and bring Gerard Butler back, and what’s the point if you can’t bring Butler and Lena Headey back in their respective characters? Oh right, the hack-a-second violence. Nevermind.
Here’s another idea for a movie: The early adventures of Queen Gorgo. Come on, I’d give $10 bucks just to find out who named her Gorgo. Who names your kid Gorgo?
