Prepare Thyself! Sharktopus is Set to Take a Bite Out of DVD and Blu-ray This March

My idea of Heaven is actually quite simple: All I would really need to live in eternal bliss is my wife, a widescreen television, and an unbreakable copy of “Sharktopus”. Not only does the movie feature a badass shark-octopus hybrid that enjoys munching on unsuspecting humans, it also has the honor of counting veteran cheese grater Eric Robert among its cast. I seriously doubt it gets much better than this. For those unfortunate individuals who missed the film’s debut on the SyFy channel, prepare to rejoice until your brain bleeds. Anchor Bay Entertainment is set to unleash this unholy amalgamation onto the world at-large on March 15th, 2011 on both DVD and Blu-ray. Seeing this thing in high definition would surely blow my tiny little mind into a million squishy pieces.

Check out the snazzy “Sharktopus” artwork below. If you’re feeling froggy, you can also listen to the official theme song by the Cheetah Whores. How cool is that?

Author: Todd Rigney

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
