Prepare Yourself: The Gears of War 3 Trailer Has Arrived

The good news: Microsoft and Epic Games have acknowledged the existence of another “Gears of War” game for the Xbox 360. In fact, they’ve gone as far as to unleash a surprisingly artistic trailer for the upcoming project. The bad news: The game doesn’t ship until April of 2011. That’s right — you’re gonna have to wait an entire year to get your hands on a copy. Cruel and unusual, that is. As someone who’s never played “Gears of War” or “Gears of War 2″, I suppose I have plenty of time to get caught up. Assuming, of course, I can pull myself away from “Fallout 3″ long enough to try them out.

Here’s the trailer. I must admit, I’m thoroughly impressed.

    That was cool and creepy as hell with all the ash bodies around like statues. Just wrong but thuroughly cool. Never played the games but I have wanted to. It seems like a more gritty less heady Halo. And if they ever get the movie off the ground it should be epic. Not since Independance Day have we had a large scale alien invasion flick.
