Pretty Aussie lass Courtney Eaton, a model turned actress, is set to make her feature film debut in fellow Aussie George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road”. She’ll be keeping her Aussie streak alive by teaming up with another Aussie director in Alex Proyas, for his upcoming epic fantasy flick “Gods of Egypt”.
Eaton will star as the film’s female lead opposite Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
The plot of “Gods of Egypt” is “set in motion when a ruling god named Set (Butler) kills another, Osiris. When Osiris’ son Horus (Coster-Waldau) fails in his attempt at revenge and has his eyed plucked out, it’s up to a young human thief to defeat the mad god Set. Eaton will play a slave girl whom the thief falls for.”
Crazy Gods and their crazy shenanigans.
“Gods of Egypt” will also star Brenton Thwaites as the young male lead and Geoffrey Rush.
Proyas, the man who gave us “The Crow” and “Dark City”, will direct from a script he co-wrote with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
Eaton’s debut in George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road”, meanwhile, is due out May 2015.
