Ah, from “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie news to fighting alien robots from outer space movie news. That’s movie bloggin’ for ya, kids!
If you were wondering if those cool Dinobots would eventually make an appearance in Michael Bay’s in-production “Transformers 4″, then wonder no more. The franchise’s uber producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has confirmed the upcoming appearance of Grimlock and company, telling Beijing News the following:
I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the appearance of these classic roles changed, today the world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China’s vehicles, whether you are a car enthusiast, you will feast your eyes and be shocked by them.
If the above sounds a bit, er, odd, that’s because it was translated from Chinese. I’m going to assume that Dinobots translates the same in Chinese or English.
Di Bonaventura also confirms that “Transformers 4″ will only have one version of the movie that will be screened around the world, unlike Marvel’s epic fail with “Iron Man 3″, which featured some ridiculous and incongruous Chinese sequences meant purely to pander to Chinese audiences. Make no mistake about it, “Transformers 4″ is doing just as much pandering (if not even MORE), but at least they don’t seem to be trying to hide it.
“Transformers 4″, starring Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, and Kelsey Grammer, stomps into theaters next year, June 27, 204.
