Punisher 2 Update: New Director? Locations?

SuperheroHype! has an update on the state of “Punisher 2″, which has recently undergone a series of heavy losses that may yet prove unrecoverable. One of which is the loss of star Thomas Jane, who will not be back for the sequel. According to SHH, Montreal has been listed as a possible shooting location for the sequel, while “Hooligans” director Lexi Alexander is the “frontrunner” for the director’s chair.

Obviously if Alexander got the job it would suck, as we’ve been hoping John Dahl would get the gig.

Then again, if this movie ever gets made, and with any competency, it’ll be a miracle, so why quibble.
