I know what you’ve been wondering: “Say, what’s that French dude who made that movie about the killer rubber tire been up to?” Well glad you asked! His name is Quentin Dupieux, and he’s been busy making a new movie called “Wrong Cops”, about a bunch of cops in Los Angeles who are kinda douche bags. It’s a comedy. A wonky, eccentric comedy, the kind only a French guy name Quentin Dupieux would think of to make. So here it is — the first trailer (or “Rough Preview” as it’s officially labeled) for “Wrong Cops”.

And here’s the plot synopsis to wrap your head around:

Imagine a Los Angeles where crime is so low that a bored cop (Mark Burnham) sells drugs and harasses a teenager (Marilyn Manson) to pass the time. Shot in stand-alone chapters as it is being financed, screened, and released, Wrong Cops is gonzo filmmaking with a unique online strategy. Watch the first 45 minutes of craziness, and then dive into conversation with the cast and creative team.

Starring Mark Burnham, Steve Little, Eric Wareheim, Ray Wise, Arden Myrin, Isabella Palmieri, Marilyn Manson, and Jennifer Blanc.

The film is currently playing the Sundance Film Festival, so expect a release date after that whole snowy mountain shindig wraps.
